Hey! Hey! This is my 99th post! Whoohoo!
Right … a post about knitting … seriously.
I haven’t been knitting much … and what with the knitting devils being naughty I’ve just put that sock (still single and obviously looking for the “perfect” mate) in the bag … for now. I figured out that part of the problem, apart from the “eye” business is that I’m just not wanting to knit this sock right now. So, logic says … “okay.” I need to be knitting something for myself. It’s like this absolute *must do* – not because of any particulars, like pattern (although I do very much like it) or the colorway (which I think is brilliant). So this is what I have been sporadically working on, when I needle(?!) to finger fiddle and have the time and energy to play.
This is my Lagoon shawl/scarf. (I haven’t thought of a catchy name yet.) The pattern is Eiku by Reeta Korhonen (it’s a free one from Ravelry) and I’m knitting it with this delightful yarn, which I have
mentioned before. It’s Julie Asselin’s Piccolo in ‘Lagon’ (80% superwash Merino 20% Nylon/ 4oz = 420 yrds./ 7-8 stitches = 1″ on 2.25 – 2.5mm needles, in other words, 4-ply. I’m tinkering with the pattern a tiny bit and am eager to see what the end results will be. I’m also excited to be supporting a ‘local’ artist/dyer. So this is cool.
I’ve posted my link at Tami’s Amis’ WIPW and I hope you check out some of the other bloggers who have shared their wips there too.
